Did it feel like 2K's worth of guitar? Looks nice.

yeah that PRS belongs in the beautiful thread Andy. That fret board is off the chain !
My mind boggles at the thought of the work and skill put into that inlay

I never thought I'd see the day when I'd start appreciating the finish on a really nice looking guitar, before then, I had been simply regarding them as musical instruments that you play (which they are) rather than things to look at, you guys have converted me.
Pabs, I can't see the picture you posted of the Mayones Regius Pro 6?
Andy, on the first page? I think the link is dead. :(
What can I say?
This is one very tasty bit of kit built by our TonyW...
Totally belongs on this page.
I will pinch one of DB's favourite comments......Noice!
Agreed , super nice build Tony
PRS kicking some serious goals with this ziricote/maple combo.

Drool.
very nice PRS Pabs, love how they keep getting new ideas
Just been noodling around on the Myka Guitars website and there are some stunning guitars there:
http://www.mykaguitars.com/instruments/113/01.jpg I love the hand made tailpieces and level of raw wood pr0n.
The wiring looks pretty cool too...

Wow that looks cool. So many wiring options though! You probably won't use most of them!
Pinched from a mates FB page, I believe this guitar is lurking around SE QLD

Ooooh tasty! Love the New Yorker!
My brother gave a D Angelica away about 10 years ago
Wasn't a New Yorker, named after some other city but don't remember which, Boston maybe
Jonny Lang's custom shop Telecaster.
Maple top, spruce back, birds eye maple neck and fretboard, Bill Lawrence pups, coil tapped and 5 way switch.

Man I wish I could make this guitar. I bet Dedman does too.
I come from an Acoustic background, so when I think of Beautiful Guitars, these are the ones that come to mind!

The top on this one is Ancient Glacial Sitka, and was supposed to be approx 3000yrs old. The grey colour comes from the mineralisation from being encased in ice for so many years. Simply stunning!

Stunning acoustics, all of them.
I do have a soft spot for my mates 1970s D35 & D28 Martins, wonderful to play and tone to die for. They also did a lot of gigging so there is some serious mojo in them too
Here's a song about the D35, played here by Stuie French

Hey Zandit all those acoustics are absolute stunners, the quality of timber, hardware and workmanship all top notch !
Zandit, whose Acoustics are these? They're exquisite instruments and the binding and inlay works are very different from the norm. Top stuff!
I Knew I would get some awesome responses on these guitars.
They are all custom builds by some of the best acoustic luthiers I have ever seen.
I don't mean to take traffic away from this site, but check the links below for the 3 guitars I shared photos of in order as they appear in the posts above
http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=423073
http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=428698

There are some lengthy reads there, but a lot of these luthiers take stage by stage photos of the different ideas they have, custom jigs they have built, etc etc.
Enjoy!!
