I know I'm the odd one out for thinking this, but I'm not a fan of spalted timber. To me it just looks like a defective board from a diseased tree. Despite that, I reckon this guitar has tuned out amazing! Fantastic job! Perhaps its because the spalt is so subtle on this particular one, but the awesome finish certainly helps.
Probably the best attribute of spalted tops is not having to worry about a mismatched flame maple veneer or incorrectly aligning quilted maple, and then also having to contend with the all too common off centre glue joint.
Some spalted tops have been stunning with Zandit's being the most memorable one.
Cheers, Waz
Im out of oil so that will have to do, I'll let it sit for a few days before polishing up

That’s looking awesome, nice work.
So tonight ive done the neck flattened and crowned frets and dingo waxed the fret board, the two tone fret board has come up a treat.
Couldnt resist a mock build ive ordered all black hardware exept for the tuners i like the bit of chrome against the black.
I was going to make a trussrod cover but after putting a kit one on it sort of suits it, Attachment 25735Attachment 25736Attachment 25737Attachment 25738
