Noice! Bet your arms are sore!!
Cheers guys.
Quite amazed at how quickly this Basswood body blunts 120 grit as the paper still looks clean and not worn out, just not cutting through as much and the difference is quite noticeable when grabbing a fresh piece.
@ Chuck - arms are OK, just the fingers and thumbs copping it at the moment on inner horns as they are always the hardest spots to get right. RDO on Wednesday so hope to finalise prepping it for a 1st coat of finish by nightfall.
Loving the commitment to sanding. There is some nice grain in that body.
Cheers Ozzie. More effort being put in buffing and polishing the Tele by hand than sanding this one.
When ordering the kit Adam sent me photos of a couple and chose this one as there was more grain and I wanted to do a natural finish without the oval pick guard. Coming along nicely and happy to keep sanding away until those curves are just right.
And then there even more sanding to be done.....
Spent most of this afternoon rounding off the edges and doing more & more sanding......

I'm going to say about 120, how close am I?
1st Tru Oil coat done after dinner tonight. Poor light in the garage and not such a good image.

Will take more shots in better light on the weekend after it has had a few more coats done.
Even though you mentioned 120 a few posts ago, I'll have a go at 80.
