Thanks mate. Not cheap at around $35 each for the 3 stringed unit but free shipping from the states has most likely bumped the price. Need to do something to improve the A string break angle forward of the nut on my J Bass and think this should do the trick.

this kind of string retainer might help .. it's what I used on my J and don't have any issues ...

Thanks 3B, that looks like the $35 hipshot unit on eBay and would do the trick.

as per my comments on the GOTM, Im a fan of this bass my friend.
