You may be right. Seems to have popped a bit with more sanding and grain filling.

Ben that grain looks sweet. Would be a shame to cover it up with solid paint. Butterscotch gets my vote !
I'm with Woks in that there is plenty of grain there worthy of showing off.
Yes, don't hide that grain! It can add so much character to the guitar. You're doing a great job so far!
Okay, grain will stay :D now I am onto the job of working out how to finish it. I have zero experience in applying anything other than a stain to decking. I want a gloss finish, but would like to have a translucent finish. I was hoping for butterscotch but cannot find anywhere besides overseas to buy any finishing products that is butterscotch.
So a few questions.
For the body
Is the first step a timber dye or stain?
Then can I clear acrylic over th dye for the gloss finish?
I see dingo tone was working on a butterscotch, who can I contact to see if this is ready for e to purchase?
For the neck
How do I get a vintage yellow look to my neck?
Where do you guys get the cool looking headstock decals? How to I go about designing one?
Where do I get the lemon oil for my rosewood fretboard?
Thanks for the help!
Ben
Ended up getting some feast Watson proof tint and getting nice colour. Now I am clear coating. Starting to look real nice.
