Quick update. Have got the colour to where I want it and have one coat of clear on.
The Dingotone seems to take a while to dry even in the hot weather up here. Once dry though leaves a nice finish. Easy to work with because of the dry time. Makes a difference from the TO which in the weather here dries as you apply.

That guitar is looking wicked!!
Can't wait to see it finished, are you planning on doing any demo clips?

So had a chance this weekend to do the wiring on the pickguard and the bolted up the neck and then final assembled. Will definitely be using the push back wiring again. Was good quality and easy to use. ( and no dings from bloody sidecutters)
My experience with Dingotone seems to be a bit different from what others have had. Always issues with every finish but the Dingotone seemed to work well for me. Colour went on really well for all the coats and the top coat was easy to apply and didn't seem to have the issues with discolouration or unevenness. The top coat did take a fair while to dry and dont think is fully cured yet but happy with how its turned out. I would definitely use it again on an ash body as really pops the grain.
Just have to finish the bone nut fitment and the frets and will be ready to string up.

Mate this really is looking pro. Reminds me of a Suhr. Can't wait to hear these pickups and what you think of the Babicz bridge.

Wow she looks amazing Tony! Love the red and gold combo. Also very interested to hear how those pickups sound.

coming along very well Tony. On the home stretch now. Like others say looking forward to the sound demo.
Have you copper shielded the control cavity ?
Be careful the wires on the switch don't earth making contact with it.
I used a (think it was) CTS 5 way switch and it's a bit deeper than the stock one and had to make the cavity deeper under the switch

Very nice looking guitar, well done.

Will do a sound demo when done , even though it may completly shatter my thoughts on my limited ability ( sort of like hearing your own voice recorded).
Not shielded woks and has good clearance and think is CTS that came with upgraded parts.

Starting to setup and definitely gonna need some string retention to put the right string angle on the nut. Now have to find a string bar to fit. So close but yet so far.
