Help. The easiest kit to wire up and I'm having problems. My wiring looks nothing like the diagram on the website. It has one single yellow wire and a black one with two wires inside. A white and a bare. If I were to assume I'd say the yellow grounds at the spring bracket? And the other "2" go to the jack socket. Am I close?

hey Craig,
the wire with white and bare will go to the output jack, make sure the white goes to the hot tip (this lug doesn't touch the lead socket) and the bare goes to ground. The yellow should go to the trem spring claw. if you are getting a bad hum reverse the wires on the output jack. The colours of different kits vary so there's only 3 wires so not too many configurations.
Also the earthing circuit may not be complete without strings on the guitar. Another problem could be your copper shielding earthing out a wire or pot that is making contact

Shoota - I've done the wiring diagrams - so would be keen to see what's different - are you able to post any photos of the wires / control plate? Should be able to update the diagram and clarify today for you.

@Shoota,
That guitar looks really nice, has Amanda tried playing it?

Yeah. We bought a rack for both our guitars. So it's always at arms length and plugged in ready to go. I have an app which is similar to the rocksmith software. We are giving that a go for her.
