looking good Andrew. That headstock matches the cap nicely
looking great!
Progress! For my lack of experience it was too tricky to control a thinned varnish while the body was hanging so I've concentrated my efforts on just the front for now. Later tonight I'll get the back and sides rocking and it'll be assemblly time before I know it.

hey dude is that the wipe on gloss or from your spray gun? I'm looking at how to clear my paisley just trying to get ideas.
It's wipe on poly mate. From what I've read this stuff called mod podge is the way to go for fabric covered axes. No idea what it is or where to get it though sorry man.
No worries man cheers !
looking nice and shiny Andrew, how many wipe on poly coats is that roughly ?
Wokks it's 1 undiluted, one 50% applied with 800 grit wet dry and 2 more with a rag diluted 75%. There was 2 diluted coats of stain on the base but sanded that nearly off. Wasn't doing it for me.
Getting there!
