Hey, Frankie. Don't forget that soldering irons are hot, so be careful. Hope that helps.

Hey, Frankie. Don't forget that soldering irons are hot, so be careful. Hope that helps.
And I have recently discovered that vintage cloth push back wire is the best to use as you don't need to worry about stripping it back.
I agree, Waz. I like the solid stuff so you can bend and mould it to shape - especially on guitars where you're wiring on a pickguard so you don't need to move or fit a harness into the body afterwards.
PBG has it in 500mm lengths for $1.50 each whilst Real Parts is $0.90 for 30mm (1 foot) or $17 for 25 Feet = 7.5m therefore PBG still comes out cheaper and in a more useful length.

It is finally in one piece! It has strings and it works!
This was originally going to have a set of SD Black Winter in it, but those have been allocated to the Cliche Black LP.
The Entwistles are nice and bright clean, and get very angry when poked with overdrive and distortion.
(I can't do sound demo as I don't have the facility and with my playing y'all should be thankful for that)
There are some tidy ups to do, like black screws for the pup rings, still have to sort a TRC and I may yet strip out the pots for something better. But even with out the locking nut it seems to hold tune better than any other FR equipped axe I've owned/played. Very happy and loud FrankenLab last night!

The FrankenWashie is alive! Great work you got there in the end
good stuff Frankie glad you got noise out of it. Looks great. So is this 100% scratchy ?
nice mix of timbers Franky in the body. Hope that is your practice/test amp and you got something bigger and louder to really crank it up !
Ah, no. No that is about all the amp I have at present, sad isn't it?! I used to have a 60W Fender Super but that went bye bye a while back.
I love the look of the natural timbers. You've given me some inspiration for something in a "Tele" like that. Great work
wow Franky no point having all these nice guitars without a decent amp ! Better fix that mate !
@ FrankenWashie I really like the way the guitar turned out, looks cool, so what's the setup like on it?, do you reckon you'll lacquer it, or keep it as is?
Hi FW, Good to see this one up off the slab so to speak.
There are still some bolts to tighten and electrodes to remove, so to speak. The pots are bugging me as the time is noisy. I may need to fit a treble bleed too.

Seeing as we're on a bit of a monster theme, how about this little gem of a classic from 1962...."The Monster Mash"?:

I remember seeing some of those Groovie Goolies cartoons when I was young. They were bad.
It certainly was. Even though the cartoons were made between 1970 and 71, they were very firmly rooted in the mid '60s, especially with regards to the music.
Some of the British kids shows of that era are .....different.
