Doc you may end up needing more of the lower grit papers as a sheet will go pretty quick.
It's worth getting a couple of sanding blocks will give you a flatter surface so you may end up getting more supplies at the BGSFOS haha

Lol...and I thought I was going to be safe from banishment to the Naughty Warehouse, oh well I guess a few social drinks with my PBG forum mates won't do any harm, especially with some nice thick juicy pizzas.
I'll do another shopping spree at the BGSFOS on Tuesday next week, was going to do one anyway to get some more tools needed to do some work on my UniVibe pedal so I can adapt a power transformer to it.
Will add the sanding blocks and a few more sheets of lower grit papers to my list of stuff to buy.
Update:
Just got back from the post office after picking up my parcel, everything minus the Dingotone Coolangatta Gold MkII and clear neck finish looks to be all there in the box, I'm not in too much of a hurry for the DT finish kit so I can wait till it arrives, will give me time to do the prep-work on the body, besides I'll be busy at a friend's place till tomorrow anyway.
Doc the DT must be coming in a separate package I presume. I'd guess the order you got came from Ads.
As long as you have sandpaper you can go for gold after tomoz !
That's it Doc, time to get cracking with the sanding!
Hey Ponch, don't tell me you changed your avatar just for my benefit ? hahah
Just for you Woks, I knew you would just love it lol
I've been hacked hahaha!
Check mine out
haha good work DB, I removed the Wet Toast avatar for now !
Yep, the sandpaper was all there in the box, incidentally, the back of the sandpaper looks like it's made of blue cloth and it says "Waterproof" on the back of it.
So, after tomorrow it'll be elbow grease time for me.
Oh, I almost forgot, I tried on one of my new Pitbull Guitars T-Shirt, and it fits me perfectly, so therefore the other one should also fit as it's a medium too.
We had to substitute the normal Norton non clogging sand paper with wet and dry in some grits.
This was only because my sandpaper guy was out of stock....
It will work the same.
Your DT was posted from the DCL man cave, via Dramadale post orifice.....
You should have it tomorrow I hope.
You OK Doc??
It has been 22 hours since your last post... Do we need to send out a search and rescue party? :p
Hey DB, nice new avatar, what axe is it ?
Doc has insect bombed his flat so probably won't be online till tomoz !
It's time to bomb Doc's thread with meaningless drivel! Hahahahaha! (Mad scientist laugh...)
Here's some ideas for when Doc gets home...

Yeah I'm okay mate, just been really busy helping a mate out with his guitar rig at his place, he needed me to make up a whole heap of patch cables for his rig so I was doing a whole heap of soldering of connectors onto some Mogami cable, I'm at my mate's place now with my two cats, we brought them to his place because we were using some insect bombs at my place to deal with some fleas and cockroaches, I've ended up staying at my mates place an extra day so we could get the work on his guitar rig done, I and my cats will be returning to my flat tomorrow.
Damnit, Doc! I thought we could put a couple of pages of stuff for you to catch up on when you got back.
Hahahahahahahahaha.....good one Swanny, the meaningless drivel will probably make much more sense than the madness to my method will, on my good days I have been known to run around in circles, flapping my arms while babbling incoherently in a strange language resembling German spoken backwards.
Update:
Just got back to my flat, minus one of my cats since it's gone missing, anyway, I checked my mailbox and there was a parcel card in it so I'm guessing that my Dingotone Coolangatta Gold MkII kit has arrived at the Winnellie Post Office and is waiting for me to go and pick it up later on at 5:00pm this afternoon, so hopefully I'll be able to finally get started on the finishing work of the body and neck this weekend.
good stuff Doc, hope you can find your cat, where did it go missing at your flat or your mates ?
It went missing from my mate's place, he lives out on a block of land with his parents, I'm a bit concerned for the cat because my mate found a python near the door to his house one day.
My mate's going to keep a look out for the cat and let me know if/when it's found.
Bugger! Hate it when a pet goes missing... Sure hope Puss shows up soon, Doc.
Cheers, I hope so too mate.
I'm just doing some sanding of the headstock of my Strat at the moment, I made a small sanding block out of a bit of 25mm X 15mm pine wood and glued a bit of the 180 Grit sandpaper to it using some PVA glue, seems to work pretty well for smoothing out the rough shape of the headstock, once I'm happy with it I'll sand the edge down a bit so it's slightly rounded then I can go ahead and start sanding the rest of the neck in preparation for the Dingotone Clear finish, should look pretty good once the finish has dried, I like the citrusy smell of the Dingowax, is it natural citrus juice?
sounds good Doc, page 23 and you are finally sanding.
DB will have to confirm the ingredient of the citrus smell, he did give me a sniff of the bottle but I've forgotten what it is. The Dingotone has even more of a citrus smell.
sure Doc, sanding is like riding a moped, good fun for the first 5 minutes haha
wait till you have hand sanded the whole body with timbermate, if you still enjoy it you are a rare breed !
Yeah, either that or I'm a certified masochist, and, or, nutcase.....lol
I never knew building a guitar could be so much fun.
I might start applying the Ebony Timbermate to the body this weekend, I've already started sanding it with 180 grit sandpaper, I've noticed some glue stains on the back of the body near the upper horn, and also inside the upper cut away, might see if I can sand them out.
Hey Doc you really need a small wire brush to sand out the glue, you can sand it with sandpaper till the sun doesn't shine the glue penetrates pretty deep.
Or some have had success with Goo Off from your favourite shop, sure it would come in smaller bottles

There's a certain amount of therapy in creating something with your own hands, Doc, I think that's what you're finding!
hey Doc try the fine brass brush should work. The idea is to open the pores of the glue affected areas, do this before you sand to 220/240 grit and then apply the timbermate and the stain should take
no worries Doc, look forward to an update pic on the neck to see how it's looking over the weekend
so will the neck be all clear Doc or are you doing the headstock face gold ? I reckon a gold headstock will look cool.
Also have you done more work on your Doc's Guitars logo ? That will need to go on before top coats
