Yes, that is the plan, just need to get some Brad point bits to recess them. There is no point in going half way 😄
great idea indeed. I've used shotgun shells for pot knobs and 9mm, 40 cal and 38's for switch tips and trus rod covers. 25acp ( hard to get these days) and 32 S&W would probably be perfect for fret boards. Also check this stuff out https://usaknifemaker.com/shop-categ...-c-95-109.html
I have something cool planned for volume and tone knobs, just need to do a bit more hunting around.
I had to use rim fires for lower down on the fretboard, then just increased in sizes 30.06 , 30-30's and .44 magnum shells
Trying out wipe on poly, pretty happy with how it looks so far.
Well after a lot ofsanding and drilling I managed to epoxy in the shell casing fret markers. When they are set I'll sand them flush and hopefully all will look good.

It is still chugging away slowly in the back ground, been rebuilding retaining walls around my pool and landscaping,so not much time or energy to tackle this, but in a month or so I should have a clear run at fixing some small issues and getting on with assembly.Quote:
