Coming up nicely mate.
OK, after exercising a super human amount of patience I started buffing back the SG last night.
Blocked back with 1500 then 2000 wet and dry, being extra carful around the holes.

I'm really happy with how its coming up although I have spent a ridiculous amount of time on it.
There are a couple of scratches I need to go over again and give it a hit with the swirl remover, but wow - it's really doing it for me. The boy may have to have one of the other guitars to call his own :)
Also working on my truss rod cover which will eventually feature the headstock logo down the middle. I'm just using some aluminium flat bar, should go well with the alumitone hum buckers.

I also got a bunch of push pull pots in the mail. I'm planning to do this one so you can split the neck and bridge and use them as single coils.
That color is pretty cool sonic. I'm a little envious nice work[emoji106]
Sonic, that SG is looking so good. That black and then cherry in the sun business is looking insanely good so far
Cheers guys, I'm really happy with it.
Its so light as well. The hum buckers weight almost nothing. I can't wait to play it.
But being patient has paid off so far, I'm going to continue the slowly, slowly approach and get it as good as I can.
Damn Sonic that looks the dux nuts! Very cool truss rod cover too.
*WHISTLES* damn sonic, that's looking ace
Thanks All. It's so exciting to see it all shined up.
I did just set myself back a bit by ruining my last sheet of waterslide paper. Sprayed it too soon after printing and it's bled.
I've got more coming express post and plenty else to get on with so not a huge drama - just a sign that I need to keep exercising that patience.......
Really nice result Sonic, what clear did you shoot on this one?
