this is how it looks. just a few things left to fine tune. i have played it and wow. the sound that comes out of thia guitar. i never have had had a strat before and this thing has now convinced me you can enjoy a guitar totally different than what you are used too. now i have to start learning some songs to play on this guitar. 😊

Looks good Brokin. Would you consider adding white control knobs and switch tip as that may give a bit more balance to the overall effect.
Geez, you don't muck about putting a guitar together. Some us take ages whilst newbies are just pumping them out.
Cheers, Waz
thanks wokkaboy. yeah i might look into the white control knobs.
yeah i get to excited i just have to keep working on it. even in the middle of the night. lol
i really enjoy building guitars. i never thought i would be able to. but here i am. number 2 is almost complete.
Hi Brokin. From the look of it, you haven't put any clear coats over the paintwork. Whilst not 100% necessary, it's what all the manufacturers do, otherwise the paint finish isn't thick enough to protect the guitar in the years to come and will wear through very quickly. Although it means taking all the parts off and spraying again, it's worth it in the long run.
Use the same type of paint as you used for the body, so if you used acrylic, then use an acrylic clear coat. You need to apply several coats over a few days, then wait a 2-3 weeks for it to harden, then rub it flat then polish it for a really nice shine. Or else use a satin clearcoat spray if you don't want it shiny - but I'd still wait a couple of weeks for the finish to harden before putting the hardware back on and playing it.
Looking good though - and definitely white knobs!

Hey Waz not sure with the next build. im thinking of finishing the pitbull guitars off with upgrade (nut, bridge etc). now i know how good the sound of the toneriders and the entwistle pickups are. im looking at upgrading my PRS se pickups. funds are my biggest enemy. haha
