Hi Andy, great Birthday present. Presume this is the 60 watt version as they also make an 80 watt one too?

I'm interested in trying out the Boss Katana amps. They seem to be a much more affordable version of the Blues Cube.

60w is plenty of power and whilst the additional features may have been nice no doubt the price was at least a couple of hundredbucks extra.
My Marshall is a 100 Watter, that's more than enough power for me to gig with, and I have very rarely turned it up past half-way on the master volumes on both channels, most of the time the master volumes are usually set on about 2, and that's loud enough for me at home.
100 watts of Marshall tube power can get seriously loud. Not so good in confined spaces or in close proximity to neighbours.
Update...finally got around to posting some of my progress over the past month.
After sanding a lot.....I've grain filled with neutral timbermate stained with Karajini red and sanded back. Yes I know it looks pink, but it will get there.

I then stained the whole body with one thin coat of Karajini red and then sanded back only the front and back to pop the grain for the burst.

Andy that is going to be magnificent. I have not seen anything like it before on the forum (not that I have been around that long). Can't wait to see it shine.
Looks good Andy

Hi Andy, gorgeous piece of Ash you have to work with there and like the innovative red stained grain fill idea.
Presume it will end up looking like the outer red part of the burst has bled into the middle gold colour once finished?
