nice one Ponch almost on the home stretch now. You are game putting the TO bottle in a photo, see you in the naughty warehouse for xmas cheers !
First time I've seen the front of the axe showing the neck heel, interesting how it sits flush with top of the body, wonder if it's possible to put a neck pup route in, whether there would be enough meat in the set neck heel
Cheers everyone. Woks, I reckon you could just about route out for a neck pup. It would end up like the SG-1F neck joint. And yes, this is the industrial sized tru oil bottle that I've been using on anything wood in our house to use it up Lol! Naughty warehouse fer sure

yeah ok Ponch, the pickguard would cover the join in the heel left after a pup route. If I built this kit I'd want a neck pup.
Thats for sure the 968ml TO bottles go a fair way
I have to admit that I love, and enjoy, checking out other member's builds of classic guitars, especially when the finished guitars look really good.
You know, there's something really cool about the simplicity of LP Juniors, they look rugged and built for business, apparently the first guitars that Paul Reed Smith built were based on the LP Junior, the body shape is similar, especially the ones he built for Carlos Santana.
Looking great and loving the finish on the guitar.
And time for another update! Had a major issue with the finish on the face of the body. The TO blistered and had to sand back and restain etc.. Arrrgghhhh
Discovered my error, take note.. I was in the process of thinning the TO and accidentally used my real tree turps as opposed to mineral turps. Turns out not quite compatible. Oh well.
Also, hot tip. Kids bored over Xmas hols, give them a craft project. Had them make a load of these pads for the re finishing effort!

bugger Ponch a sand back job bet there were a few naughty words being said in the man cave !
Does it look pretty similar to before ?
Yes a few choice words were used. Only front affected by my error and it now looks same as before phew. Then I discovered a leak in my workshop that nearly puddled the JB kit - more expletives used... What has happened to the Sydney summer??

Yeah Ponch not happy about 3rd test rained out in Sydney. Wow you have had a rough trot. Mop up the leaking water with your swans scarf!
