One advantage of living in the tropics everything dries quickly.
Grain filled with a mahogany timbermate and after 4 hrs outside was well and truly dry.
Sanded back to 400 and managed to get a first coat on.

Looking great Tony! Some killer grain there dude.

After a week away put the first coat of intensifier on, not sue how many coats to put on but if can get a touch redder will be happy.
The backplate has also turned up in the post.
wow Tony love how the body is looking that red is sweet and the flame trem cavity. That trem cover looks fully sick, is that from the same guy that did your inlay on a TRC ?
Quick update: two coats of intensifier on now and getting close to ready to clear. Have to give it a quick buff with steel wool to get rid of all the dust etc. that is now on the body from forgetting that I had coated it a few hours earlier and thinking it was a good idea to blow out the carport. Then one more coat of intensifier and she should be right to start top coats.
Still unsure of whether to fit the backplate or go clear.
looking nice and deep red the body nice one Tony. Might as well show off the flame maple in the trem cavity !
Wow Tony that colour on the body looks amazing and the grain has popped really well. She's going to be another awesome build dude.
cheers,
Gav.
