Nice shade of purple on the front of the Les Paul there, really looking forward to seeing what the finished guitar looks like.
I didn't think you could actually use printer ink as a stain on guitar bodies so there's a new one for me.

Plenty before me have used it, so i hope it's safe. The only real issues are if it reacts to the clear. Being water based, it should be fine
Saw a guy on The Electric Guitar Builder's Resource page on FB used blue Kool Aid, and it looked awesome

I guess it depends on what kind of clear coat you use, but I agree, if the stain is water based it should not react at all provided you've given it plenty of time to dry so it doesn't run.
