The DB Pick-up Winder

Yeah! Well done AJ! As far as I know you are the first to put together a winder since I posted the design and walk through. Now you just need to get some pickup wire from brocott.co.uk , the 41 & 42 AWG core is what you will be needing although you can go up to AWG 44,
Either rip apart an existing pickup or grab a few single core or humbucker kits from Stremac and you are away. Or simply jump on e-bay and grab some real cheapies from China and remove their wire and do your own. They only cost $1!
I anticipate making a video this weekend to show everyone how to make a pickup on the winder, so look out for that!

Didn't know about that Mob Gavin, now the exchange rate for the $ would approx 3 to 1 for the pound? and their delivery charges? Had found a mob called TemcCo. They are also on Ebay, the price for 42 gauge from them is $32 Aus, and $26 delivery.. the spool size is 1Lb (48841 ft or approx 17000m)
A good thing is I do have a spool of enameled wire.. I don't exactly remember how I came across it.. but it as traveled many miles with my shed stuff. Just need to measure the thickness, but do think it will be brilliant for trial purposes.

1 AUD = 0.6055 GBP
1 GBP = 1.6516 AUD

It's called a Go-Bar clamp, it is used to clamp the braces on an acoustic guitar while the glue dries!!
Now, where's my ST-1 kit with special Wudtone mix and other various things I need???

Could you please let me know where you sourced the bracket that connects the pickups holder to the motor spindle? (the one with the 4 screws and hex thingy to tighten).

Yeah! Sound pretty cool! You can wind them to exactly what you want in terms of resistance etc.
