Always use waterborne wood glue never solvent born like Gorilla Glue or anything like that.”
I didn’t try this method as I had already started on my workaround to hide the glue marks with darker colors. Also Not sure what type of glue was used on the pitbull kits.
Thanks Vivek and McCreed
I tried a bit of everything to remove and hide the glue marks. Not as bad as yours Vivek but still noticeable. Bit nervous about using water as don’t want to risk the veneer bubbling.
I had a go hiding the marks with a few of my daughters paint pens and created a few fake stripes which works pretty well. Went over with another coat of stain this morning and now have this finish which is looking ok. Next steps is the intensifier coat.
Also need to change back colour as thought the fw walnut stain would complement the dingo tone but looks plain wrong. Going to stain it Japan brown to match the neck.

Tried Vivek’s water trick to remove the stains hidden in the veneer. Seems to have worked. Touched up and now run out of dingo tone so I reckon this a wrap.
Winning

Having a love hate relationship with my dingo tone finish. Decided it was looking too muddy and dull so rubbed it down with 0000 steel wool while the intensifier coat was wet. This removed a lot of dullness and helped pop the figure. Win. However my glue marks reappeared after I had hidden them with some painting and staining. Decided to experiment with a burst border using fw Japan brown blending with the intensifier coat whilst wet. Still a few little touch ups on the border to get it nice and dark but pretty happy. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...116dbc1d8c.jpg
