The circle sure makes the dot stand out more.

Been a busy few weeks with not much workshop time. A little more progress. Started clear coating the body. The back will be natural and the mdf will be a glitter finish (at this stage). Have been playing around with how to do that. This sample isn't perfect, but it's given me enough pointers to improve it on the guitar. Dot experiments came out sort of OK but I've decided to just put some normal pearl ones in. Ordered a bit of stuff today that I'll need to wait for to progress the neck, so I'll just keep going with body finish for now.

The glitter experiment looks good!

Cheers, I think it's going to work with enough clear built up over it.

Rear grain looks stunning bro

Well here goes nothing. Decided to put a coat of blue mettalic down to make up for any thin spots in the glitter. In the end the coverage ended up pretty even. Fingers crossed all goes well with clearing over the top, its pretty chunky!

My fret dots and a few other bits and pieces arrived today. Realised I forgot to order pick guard screws annoyingly. Also got my white pearloid pick guard material. This is going to be one flashy guitar lol.

Looks good.
Ha - I see you are covered in glitter also. That stuff will be everywhere!
Does the glitter go on while the paint is still wet?
