Okay so string trees attached, now I have one last piece remaining that I’m not sure about.Attachment 33024
Where does this go? Or perhaps is it just to help get the string trees on easier?

Looks like a piece of solder. I’m not sure where those go either. Electronics is not my strength.
Put the B/E tree on, then compare the string angle of the G and D strings. If they are very close to the the same as the B and E strings, then there's no point. If they are shallower, then fit the tree.
Edit: Oops. Too late.
So I finally ordered an amp but it took a little while to arrive so I used that time to refinish the body as it was a bit patchy. It came up much better this time. I just tried to torch the grain instead of the whole body. I’m so glad I did. After re assembly the it would play thru the amp but I found I had the hot wire and ground for the jack around the wrong way. A quick re solder and it plays a treat. I’m really happy with it. Even happier to be finished. Thank you for all the input along the way.Attachment 33954Attachment 33955
I like the new finish job better! It's more refined (in a rustic sort of way!).
Good job on your first kit! Glad it plays well for you too.
Looks amazing!
great work Sime O. looks the business.
BTW which amp did you order/get?
I got an orange crush 20. I really like it.
I think that looks much better.
Next, the sound demo 😉
