I really liked your original finish, but the revamp has come up a real treat!
Six coats are done on the body of the Fine Buffing Oil.....applied with 0000 steel wool. I am loving the finish.
Six coats are done on the neck and headstock with the ever reliable Tru-Oil.....loving it as well....even like the vintage amber colour.
The neck and headstock in their glory.
That body is looking like a clear toffee. Great job.
I'm not a bass guy (hell i'm barely even a guitar guy!) but i really like this one Ozz, nice clean and even look to both neck and body. Very Nice!
Thanks guys. I am liking it very much....so simple....just easy does it as I go....no hassles with colours sanding or buffing off.
Nice...so far.
This morning I have done one steel wool applied and then twice buffed...once with a coarse cloth and once with a fine cloth...coat of Gilly Stephensons Cabinet Makers Wax.
Liking the finish. Let her hang overnight now and another coat tomorrow.
The headstock and neck are getting daily wipes with Tru Oil and should be hanging to cure from Saturday 20th January.
That is looking wonderful Oz, almost makes me want to build a bass.
