going to go with Mowhawk nitro, have heard very good things about it and can get it here in Aus from Australian Luthier Supplies
It took me a while to see what was wrong with the saddle holes....then i realised you were a lefty...good save Stan.

Will be hiding the redrilled holes under some inset washers and the bridge posts will sit on top, will just look like slightly bigger bases
Binding is scraped and what a task - Feast Watson prooftint really sticks...

Ok , open question to the floor...
My binding seems to have a bunch of vertical cracks in it, and they must be deep because they don't scrape away.
The give the thing a bit of an antique feel, and it's not too bad, but it would be nice to see if I could get rid of them.
I was thinking that I could use acetone on a cotton bud and see if they blend out.
Any other ideas???
