Apologies, my inelegant turn of phrase has muddied the issue. A man cave I have, and its about to be upgraded when we move house.
The table top puppet theatre is just that, a puppet theatre designed to fit on a table top, not taking space on the table top used for guitar building.
It was requested "When you can get to it, if you can fit it in" which my Spousal Statement Translator equates to:
"To be given absolute priority in the workshop, don't even think of unpacking that SV-1 kit I know you have stashed away and lord help you if those sticks of rock maple even look like becoming a laminate neck before the theatre reaches a state of near completion"

I'll definitely vote for you for PM Nitro if you have man cave allowances and free beers all round !

NOW THATS GOTTA BE AN ORIGINAL!!
nice one Nitro so is that freehand drawn ?
I like it! Great job dude.
cheers,
Gav.
Yea, freehand off a signature template i made up on the computer. Was gonna use my signwriting brushes but the acrylics wouldnt take and oil based will take ages to dry so i used an expensive artists white marker. it will need another going over. I will give it a few very light coats of clear to seal it so i dont lift it.
Very nice!! That's come up really good!
Bravo. That logo is epic. I am so envious of anyone who can freehand script like that.
I like the head stock, logo and attractive font. Fits in nicely - good job!
Lol now your trying to make me feel good, hey its working. Im not looking forward to posting a video sample when its finished, now everybody thinks....ahhh he cant be that bad... The video will prove it..lol, think ill get my painter mate who plays in a band to do it, at least youll really be able to hear what it sounds like!
wow , nice headstock, youve done a great job
Soo got the final colour today, its a deep teal or aqua. I changed it because the neck blue was slightly green and i wanted them both to match.
Its had about 3 coats and when dry in 2-3 days will be ready for the clear. It goes quite dull so i tried to take a pic while it was wet. Some of the pics dont throw the green hue and look quite blue but the true colour is of the picture of the guitar taken inside the house in my spare room while it is drying.

Next ive put a clear sealer over the headstock logo then used a lemon beeswax to bring up the colour on the fretboard.

The volume pot push pull arrived today and also the 3 way switch, im ditching the 5 way.
Now im all ready to start the wiring.

Looks like theres a hold on the wiring....i ordered a 25k instead of a 500k volume pot! GRRR
Ohhh man that blue is money
Looks great Nitro. Should look the goods with clear coats. Check the depths of the switch and pots if you are shielding the cavities
Ok...... Metallic coats are dry and ive put 3 light coats of clear on. It still needs to be fine sanded then 2 more coats of clear then waiting for it to dry before i cut and polish it.
These pics taken inside show the true colour.
Its hard to take a proper picture of the colour because it changes from blue to green-blue, but these are pretty close
