Said so ;) And if you use a clamp with a longer shaft you can put that end in your vice so you'll have both hands free to apply the coats (front, sides and back).

How have people masked off F holes? I want to get some tape in there somehow to prevent the dust from sanding the timbermate from gettinginto the cavities, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it effectively.
edit: I've got morning brain. Immediately after I posted, I figured out that I can use wider tape and go lengthwise from below.
Stuff the cavity with scrunched up paper.
Blue or green jelly? I feel like it may affect the tone.

Haha, haven't heard that for years!
Anyway, timbermate mostly off, had to stop for the day:

Got 4 or 5 glue spots off before timbermate. Is this one I missed? Round the binding and looking kinda smeared down and left? It didn't show up when I originally wet it.

It sure looks like it to me.. probably when they were doing the binding. It looks like they smeared it with their fingers. I have also seen people use balloons in the f hole.. and looked like it worked pretty good.
Damn! I guess I can still remove it the same way, but I bet I have to re-timbermate that bit.
