Waiting is the worst part of this whole process. Worse than masking binding.

Ok so after thinking for a long time this is the only way I can come up with to cover the gap left between the pickups and the routing. I have cut around the pickup holes in the scratchguard and I am now going to drill them in...anyone think of any better ways before I drill the holes?

In better news I have finished shielding and wiring (apart from the input) currently waiting on it and the vibramate in the post and then it should be ready to get the neck on!!
First time wiring so if anyone spots any faults shout out!
Never used braid nor wired up a LP or SG so cannot say whether good job at the wiring or not?
For the custom made PUP surrounds you probably have no choice other than screwing them on and suggest using black scratch plate screws and counter sinking the holes so that the screw heads sit more flush. The neck one looks a bit thinner on the neck side or is that just the camera angle playing tricks?
Shielded wiring within a shielded cavity....interesting, someone must really hate hum....:p
Looks aight by me 'cept no jack yet and I can't see the earth wire to the post holes.
If you really hate hum you might need to put that earth in
Thanks for the advise wazkelly. Ive done pretty much exactly what you have said. The neck one is indeed thinner but when the neck is in place it actually covers over it. definitely not the ideal situation but there is not alternative apart from using a full scratch plate.
Indeed i hate hum. everything will be earthed when the jack input comes. and still waiting for the damn vibramate...
Knew there must have been a reason for the thinner Neck PUP surround. Will look much better than the full scratch plate.
Yeah I refused to use the full plate because it covered too much of the wood
