Quick question: I was planning to start colour coats this week in the evenings but there's rain forecast all week - I'm assuming that moisture in the air isn't conducive to a good result. Should I sit tight and wait for clear weather?

I tend not to do any finishing with any product in rainy weather. Timber absorbs moisture, if you seal it in it's there for quite a while, then there is the whole orange peel or cloudy issues depending on the finish type

Thanks Dedman, it'll be painful to sit tight but no doubt worthwhile.

I know, I've been waiting for weeks for the planets to align so I have fine weather at the same time I have the time to finish painting my ES-5V, I only have the clear coats to go!

The good news is my decal paper arrived yesterday so I printed out some logos and applied one this morning. Much easier than I thought it would be so quite excited to have made some progress, albeit small, in the build!
