cool build Dedman, you achieved the look you were after. What have you wrapped the pickups in looks like stocking material ?

Cheesecloth that I stained using the same wash as the body

That is awesome Dedman! It has been great watching it all come together.

Great job Dedman! How does it play? I imagine it might be difficult play sitting down and unbalanced when playing standing up.

Sitting down is much better than I thought it would be, in fact its very comfortable. I haven't put the strap buttons on as yet because I never play standing up anyway :P
