Would a pic of our upstairs floor do :) I've got a couple of lengths around the 4m mark and a handful around 1m, sadly no off cuts from the steps because that timber was thick enough to not need lamination but having said that it is very heavy so chambers are essentialQuote:

Hey Bruce I have to thank you mate, you have inspired me to build a similar lap steel but mine will be a baritone scale. I am hoping it will sound like a baritone guitar with heavier strings and a lower tune. Just want to try it out. I have glued the neck through piece together and after some sanding will glue the wings on and route the tuner post cavities. I'll post some pics soon !
