Gosh Wokks what do you do with them all!
haha Andy last count was 64 guitars/bass's/CBG's/lap steel that make noise in the guitar room.
This export label axe is going to a mate Chippo who helps cook and serve drinks 4D nights. I wouldn't be seen dead with this axe in my collection every beer label doesn't deserve to be called beer haha
Geez Wok i need to do a road trip to WA just to test the bar :D
haha no worries Tony, my 4D buddy Wayne is super keen to start gold prospecting so you two will have lots in common.
I've got about 1/3 of the bar top resin filled with bottle lids and coasters, it's a long process with the bar being under a tree that drops heaps of dead leaves but getting there. Getting good use out of 2 golf size umbrellas !
actually first pic kills 2 birds with one stone has the Export axe in the front haha
I was always going to make a Lagerphone, but i didn't, and threw out a few 1000 caps, would of served you well Wok
all good Tony I've had heaps of mates collecting caps for me and from local pubs. Think I have enough caps, well I will find out as it progresses but the collection keeps getting bigger.
I had to google what a lagerphone is, thought it was the phone you call after a few lagers hahah
think we had one in the school band they were good fun and simple to use - like a tambourine on a pole
Got this build assembled and making noise over the weekend. Tried to get Chippo over yesterday to give it to him but he couldn't make it.
Pretty happy how it turned out, I'll upload a video I recorded next few days
few more pics. I also got all the caps on the bartop over the weekend, makes a great backdrop for a beer label axe !
Looking good bro. You still going to epoxy the bar top?
cheers Pabs. Yeah I have put epoxy resin on, it's so clear it's hard to see in a photo.
I'll let it get some use so the caps get pushed right down and levelled then top up the resin all the way to the top.
The side of the bar that has a slight lean on it (back side) is pretty well resin filled to the top
