Just because there are less strings doesn't mean it is easier to play, as I found out 30 odd years ago when I switched across from Rhythm Guitar to Bass as we couldn't find any decent Bass players at the time.
Boy, did I find out in a hurry just how much more there was to plucking those 4 strings. Made rhythm guitar seem like childs play.
That red is going to look great, Waz, when you start putting the clear over it!
Thanks Swanny. It has about 5 or 6 coats of TO on it already and being ash it has soaked in and left a bit of an open grainy look. May need a bit of light wet sanding every 4 - 6 coats to help level and grain fill as we go.
Colour is stunning and my wife has given her stamp of approval to leave on a stand as a furniture piece. Other than the EX-1 neither of the other 2 took her fancy as she is not a blue or orange fan.
Here is a shot after 1 or 2 coats taken in poor light in the garage. Once it starts to gloss up all over I will post some more.

brilliant colour
Thanks mate. On the weekend I will take some outdoor shots to post.
Pity it is a non PBG kit as I would love to enter it in GOTM. Wonder if I put on a PBG decal they would let me enter?
Great job and the red stain looks awesome

good try Waz, first condition of entry of GOTM is it's a PBG kit, can't use the former opposition's kit to enter ! haha
Wow Wazza, that looks awesome, such a great colour. Your wife has good taste.
