MAte that body is PHAT!. I really like the burst its looking great and so are those Schallers!
I persevered with the rolling pin ....trying to square it up was a right royal PITA as whatever this wood is it's really hard and took ages to cut throughQuote:

Mate, anagote timbers in marrickville are really good for guitar/instrument woods. They are really helpful and have a great scraps bin for small bits.Quote:

6 coats later with the wudtone custom finish and we have this.
i also just finished scraping the binding. first time but i feel the lines came out very crisp and clean. started out drawing my blade towards me. ends up pushing the blade away from me and got a cleaner line that way….probably just personal preference.
next is the high gloss with ageing top coat. probably 4-5 coats with 1 week in between each coat.
then time to set the neck….
