nice work, a little bit of rasp time has made it look pretty mean. personally i reckon you should continue the bevel all the way around the edge on the front of the body, just to make the edge of the body look a bit sharper

Got back to this again lately. Finished off carving the body up, sanding and started applying the black stump. Its not the best job and the last intensifier coat may need to be rubbed back a bit, but I'm generally pretty happy with the result so far.

Those curves look great. Are you shaping the pickguard to match, or something different?
I'll shape the pickguard. So far its looking like this. I think it needs a bit more work and I'm still thinking about the logo. This ones a bit big. Attachment 16807
Maybe a bit too large, but not by that much. It's either got to be small and discrete, or big enough to make a statement and be seen from a distance. I'd keep the dragon's head about the same size and make the wiggles in the J a bit more defined so that people can see it's part of the design and not a wobbly bit of painting.
Looking good. That reshaping really gives this model a whole new feel
Man, epic build dude. I think the modified body looks sweet and the pickguard shape is starting to look great too.
Cool reshaping and I like where this build is headed. Love the idea of doing a pointy super strat that *isn't* a solid colour.
Good stuff sarge, love me some reshaping! I like the way the body and headstock work together.
Thinking I might attempt something like this for the pickguard.
