Agree with Wokka, tried both - prefer the vinyl. Andyport does a great job and very reasonably priced too!

Nice. I'm pretty sure you can get some conversion bushings if you don't want to bother filling and drilling.
I was just having a quiet think to myself and wondered if the stock bushings accept the Gotoh tuners?
I think I'll end up plugging and re-drilling as one or two of the tuner holes are SLIGHTLY out of line anyway.
Cool, good call then. Those style tuners need to line up almost perfectly or they look crap.
Hi Zeromick, how did you go with the Gotoh Tuner upgrade? I am interested how you're going to install the tuners.
I tried to do same upgrade on my PBG thinline, I found plugging in the holes is the easy bit. The hardest for me is to line and drill (btw my drill press is not crash hot) the tuner holes at exact spacing . My first go was a shocker that I had to re-plugged the holes. ATM I am trying to organise to use friend's milling machine and drill the holes that way.

Budi
hey mate, I havnt done the upgrade yet.
Plan is to plug them up and make a template/guide out of some flat aluminium with the holes drilled in the right place so when I do come to re-drilling the headstock I can be sure the holes are in the right spot :)
Right o, why didn't I think of that! Don't mind if steal your idea do you? ;)

I've found not only the motivation to get out of bed in the mornings but to hook back in and do some more work on this :)
Headstock holes plugged and puttyed up ready to re-drill!
