God I want one of those sanders, is that an oscillating one too DB?
can get a cheapy off Fleabay for about $250

Hare and Forbes supplied the one (spindle sander) that I use. I think DB got his one there too. They are fantastic for the horns of the guitar (sanding them) amongst many other things.
Now that's do-able, I'll have to look further into that I reckon Stan.Quote:

My bobbin sander is an ocillating type, made by Schepparch.. Is German, is good :)
With this setup I can rough out a nut in about 35 seconds, a few swipes with the rasp and its ready for slotting.
All up, I can now Finish a nut from rough blank to polised beauty in about ten minutes...
