Classic Video Gav, seems all Gavs are natural in front of a camera. Love the makeshift kitchen man cave. Wish my kitchen window view looked like that. I see you are trying to hide the tru-oil behind the turps or shellite bottle ! haha Look forward to the next installment great idea for a build diary !
@Adam, @Wokka - thanks for the support guys. I'm hoping the next diary entry will be better. Can't stand listening to my own aussie drawl though..
@Wokka - yeah my man cave is a little one room flat we have set apart from the house. My 'workbench' is actually the bench of the kitchenette that I've had to cover with carpet to try and protect it. Across from that is the drum kit and the wall of axes that you see in most of my action photos :). You noticed the contraband huh? In fact, turps and shellite bottles! Haha!

Well done Gav that's a great way to produce a build diary. I will be following these as you make them as I was considering a john lennon tribute as my next build. Great stuff buddy

Hey Gav when you get to the part where you splash paint all over the body to get the effect, are you going to drink lots of bourbon in the video as master DB recommended ?
@Wokka - yes you are right! I must follow the advice of our luthier in residence! Bourbon it is. As you rightly surmise, the correct technique for achieving the pollock effect is to splatter ones own body in paint and then roll all over the object in question. No, wait..
