Nice work on the lettering.

Added the base coats of paint to the skeleton pieces. Next, I will add the black parts to each piece using brushes.

Did you 3D print those skeleton bits?

A cheap airbrush kit (dual action) from ebay would be great for adding the black. You can some good feathering with an airbrush.
I think I got one for around $30 a few years ago. Still works great.

Hi McCreed, these are all carved and sanded from pine and plywood. No 3D printing.

The reason I'm going for brushed on detailing is that I have some artists, including a Special FX makeup artist, in the family who can give assistance if I need it.

Sounds like you got it covered! And I just went back a couple pages and saw the skull & bones. I forgot about that!

I have painted the black and darker parts of the bones using brushes.
Glued them all into place.
Painted the spaces between the bones on the front of the body. (It may still need a bit more texture)

Next, I will apply some clear to protect everything.

Looking good! Very impressed!
