I made a rough square wooden frame for my outside toilet tent spray booth so it could live on the patio and not on the lawn. Stuck an eyelet at each corner and tied the tent to those. Stops the tent blowing across the patio in light to medium winds. In stronger winds I put some cast-iron framed gargen chairs on the frame to keep it in place, but on a balcony, you shouldn't have too many issues like that (though a good rope tether to some railings or similar would be a good safety precaution).

I finished the clear coats on the neck today. Seems to have come up good, though I’ll know more after I try to smooth up the back with some 1200g…
Opinion from my wife is that it looks good white, so I might just clear coat it as soon as the tent wardrobe things shows up tomorrow.
Then I think I’ll try putting on the neck and non-electronic hardware… and seeing if I can get these strings to fit ok. My current fear lies in the very short distance between the nut and the low E tuner. Fingers crossed. There’s not enough room for vintage style tuners…
It's less the nut to tuner spacing as the string construction. You want the low E string's outer wrap to finish just after it goes over the nut, so that only the thinner inner core goes around the tuner post, especially as you have guitar tuners rather than larger post diameter bass tuners. You don't want the thick wrap to bend around the small radius of the tuner post as it won't do the string any good.
Hopefully dedicated Bass VI strings should take that into account.

Though now that I have the tent/wardrobe, I could totally do the next kit with spray paint…

So I think everything is done except for actually building it.
I’ll let the satin clear harden a bit, then I’ll start figuring out if it being a Bass VI is possible, or if I’ll cave and make it a baritone.
