There's lots of places that are apparently in Queensland

Yep, my personal health and safety, alot of the tenants living where I live are Aboriginal, they are the ones who cause the most trouble around where I live, on the very night I moved in I had to call the Police something like 12 times in a row because of all the trouble, I had one guy living in a flat above me deciding to have a domestic every night at odd times like 2:40am in the morning when I was trying to get to sleep, I tried telling him to keep the noise down but he just swore at me, so I ended up putting in numerous complaints about him to Territory Housing and it was only about the middle of last year when he was formally evicted, I've also had to put up with Aboriginal people humbugging me for things at strange hours at night, again when I was trying to get to sleep, we get itinerant Aboriginal people sleeping on the balcony outside my front door, one was sleeping right in front of my door and I couldn't get out so I could go buy some food for me and my cats, I felt like kicking the door down and walking all over the itinerant with spiked steel caps just to teach them a lesson but I knew I'd get myself into trouble with the Police.
The Darwin Police don't really do much to control the troublemakers here in Darwin.
I've also had threats of physical violence made against me too, with no provocation, all I did was to tell the person not to start any trouble or I'd ring the Police, they threatened to hit me, and yes they were Aboriginal too, more to the point, they didn't live in the blocks where I live so they were trespassing.
A former friend of mine ripped half the security grating off my front door and tried to accuse me of stealing something from him which I never did, so I ended up having to get my front door boarded up, turns out my former friend had a history of stealing things and a drug habit, he was on Ice at the time he ripped the security screen half off my front door.
I've also had two Half-Caste Aboriginals punch and kick me to the ground near the Rapid Creek Bridge in Nightcliff, they tried to rob me of $5.00 measly dollars but they never got it, I ended up with a lacerated face and was scared to walk at night for a few years, I'm still a bit wary nowadays, I never did get any justice for that even though I reported it to the Police.
The real Darwin is nothing like the rosy coloured picture they portray in TV ads, it's a horrible place.
Man oh man... Thats really sad..
I was a tennant with ACT Housing for a while when my life took a bad turn health wise (my back gave out and I was also diagnosed with MS.. Thankfully that was a mis diagnosis) and the so called quiet neighbourhood they placed me in became a nightmare six months after I moved in.
At the start, there was a mix of the Elderly and those of us who's health required a quiet no stress place to live.
Then housing decided to move a teenager into the unit directly behind me.
Well, that worked well...
First night the noise and anti social behaviour was so bad that even after four visits from the Constabulary it continued.
In the end, out of concern for the 90 year old lady who lived next to the ratbag, I called in the boys.....
We then had a quiet few days before housing came around threatening to evict me and my nextdoor neighbour for disruptive and agressive behaviour.
Man did I let fly at the housing manager! Poor bastard never came back.
Anyhoo, in the end I was lucky to meet a wonderful woman and I moved to Perth, so a move away from the shit will do your health and well being good.
I hope you can move soon.
Hope so too mate, I might give Darwin a few more years while I sort out a few things before I end up doing the move to Cairns, a mate of mine, who runs a recording studio, wants me to do some work on a 28Ch Soundcraft Mixing desk that used to belong to Yothu Yindi, a very well known Indigenous Rock Band, the work involves doing some servicing work on the mixer.
I'm guessing that person you met is Miss Fe, she sounds like a pretty nice person, how is she doing by the way?, hope she's been doing well mate.
Good job on the grain popping, Doc! It's looking fantastic, we'll see how much better it gets with the final coats.
I know how you must be frustrated with your neighbours, my line of work often crosses with the problems you are experiencing.
Cheers Swanny, good to know I'm not the only one experiencing those problems.
Hopefully I'll get a chance to apply the intensifier coat tomorrow if the stain is dry enough, I'm guessing that maybe next week I'll be ready to apply the final coat/s to the guitar body, might see if I can apply one more final coat to the neck tomorrow.
