Hey Wokka
That one came from a Local Liquor in Canberra. Very hoppy, 8%, and cans are a pint...a little dangerous :)
Cheers

That pup surround is gorgeous DB. This bass is just oozing so much class. I wonder how it would sound in a tropical environment? Happy to try it and let you know! I only offer this service in the interest of determining the boundaries of your product.
It looks like it was made by a machine or something....but other than blowing smoke up yr ass I feel that beautiful bass would be far more suited to the temperate climbs of the South Australian region. Therefore out of the goodness of my heart I am offering my custodial services as a debt of gratitude to you, guitar builders and musicians throughout this fair land for now and evermore...Quote:

Perhaps it needs a summer and winter residence. This way it will be out of extremes at all times. Let's synch our calendars. We'll let you know where to send it DB.

Cheers Bargie, I very carefully marked out the shape, drilled holes close to the inside corners and then cut it out with my trusty scroll saw..
Then very gently rasped it clean and shaped the outside edges, followed by sanding, sanding etc etc :)
BTW, Perth is the perfect balance of QLD and SA 8-)
Was not at all fond of that big ugly black pup just sitting there....
Time to make a cover 8-)
First step is to drum sand an offcut to thickness. To do this I double sided stickytaped the offcut onto a flat chunk of ply.

Once I had one side flat I carefully slid a spatula under the cover to get it off the board.
Then flip it over and repeat the process.

Two mm thick 8O

Next the marking out and off to the scroll saw.
Fast forward to cover in place :P

^Couldn't have put it better.
This may be true in a purely climatic sense but a bass like that needs to get out and about in a more cultural way in order to see the world, live the life and see the other coasts of OZ. Bargie and I are offering this as a favour so that you needn't feel indebted to us in any way. :PQuote:

I tell you now any picture of this Bass does it no justice at all. This thing is just god dam beautiful beyond belief . It took some prying out of DB's hands but it's worth selling him my soul for. DB I am for ever your slave whilst this piece of art is where it belongs (on my wall).
Wow Jarrod! At least you appreciate have fortunate you are, it's amazing
"on my wall" Why I oughta.... :-)

Come on guy's , do you really think DB would part with this !
It seriously is dam hot though and I cant imagine any Bass play not drooling over it. The bridge is just something else , simple and sexy and works. It's that touch of class that every one should inspire too.
Fantastic to finally meet you DB
*cough* basses love Melbourne *cough*
Bahahahaha!
Hooked 'em, eh Jarrod? 8-)

Tassie Timbers... IT MUST COME HOME!!!!!
Nor me. The links are still there but not showing, even when accessed directly. Has someone cleared out 'old' photos to make storage room for new ones?
Same here too, I can see the links when I go to reply to DB's posts but the pics don't show up in the thread, very odd....hmmmmm.....
