Hi Ozzie, was going to PM.... Just sent you an email and suggest you go back and edit it out of the last post to avoid being spammed out by unauthorised or unwelcome users as this is a fairly public forum.
Cheers, Waz

The New Girl is in the house.
My parcel guy works late to finish all his deliveries.......delivered to me after 5.30 tonight....nice huh.
I really like the body...the fretboard has some awesome figure on it too.....possibly Ebony I think.
The neck fits a little loosely into the pocket....but still good.
The jack socket is on the side.....nice....black hardware too....so a Real Parts order in the offing.
Much sanding to come. :)
That fretboard is very tasty!
Looks good Ozzie.
Not much meat left on the headstock but just enough to allow for some re-shaping into the MMB style beak.
Decent 5 String replacement nuts for F styles are hard to find. As a heads up, don't buy any 'metallic' ones from South East Asian sellers as whilst they may say Brass or Stainless Steel they are mystery metal and just coated to look a particular way. I bought a couple, whinged via Ebay and got a full refund and also didn't have to return the crap, not that they will be used for anything. On the EX-5 I bought one called 'Adjust-a-Nut' and is styled on the ones that come on Warwick Basses from Germany.
This is the one I have and unfortunately they are more suited to Gibbo styles where they sit at the end of fret board compared to embedded in the Fret Board on F styles but not a hard mod to increase the nut slot width slightly to make one fit. They work brilliantly and sound is way better than stock plastic.

Lots of great stuff Waz....thanks.
I decided to get a preamp.....bought and paid for and on its way....I got a three string retainer for the headstock in black as well.
I like the graphite or tusq nuts....so have a blank as close to size on the way.
I also got some nicer black metal knobs....and a black recessed jack socket....the preamps stereo plug may give me some issues with this....worse case scenario keep for another one.
The Belcat pre amp jack socket fits a metric threaded recessed cup, which is what i have used on my MMB4.
The 3 string retainers are brilliant and all that black hardware should look great.
