I'm gonna disagree with that. T'was after scoring a strat copy that I realised it sat so much better in playing position.
Therefore it's function against form in this instance.

Edit: BTW good to see another strat/tele project...mine's a bit simpler though.
Jeff Beck thought it necessary to put a forearm bevel on the front and a belly cut on the back of his '54 Esquire in 1965.

Thanks everyone for your input. I'm going to go with the forearm bevel, but rather than rounding it like a strat body I'll try to get a flat piece sanded off at and angle, as I think this might look better on the angular Tele body. Probably won't do the rear bevel as I have a squire Tele and that shape doesn't bother me.
