Cheers Guv. Yes it's exciting awaiting the arrival.
Simon: Yes on closer inspection, the holes may be O.K. I have some 'vintage' tuners that didn't line up on the previous
Pitbull neck and along with the alignment of spacing, I was also worried that the size of the holes would be too great.
A cursory fitment shows that the fears were unfounded.
cheers, Mark.

With a new day it's dawned on me that the holes are in fact too close together to accommodate the 'vintage' tuners.
I'll be doweling and re-drilling in a suitable position.
I've also decided to fall back on my original plan for finish 'Belton Molotow Vanilla' paint.
Small amount of routing to do to make room for the Tele bridge pickupAttachment 25068

From the pic, it looks like your strings are going to be splayed inwards and not have a straight string pull. It could just be due to the camera angle. but I'd double check. You might need to change the general angle of the line of the tuner holes and reshape the top of the headstock as well as the bottom tuner. Again, keep in mind that the top of the nut slot needs to be in line with the bottom edge of the tuner post, not its centre.
