Yep that's a good shape Make sure the corner is rounded slightly so it is easy to cover when you paint and difficult to accidentally chip.

Anyone's headstock and pre-drilled holes for the tuners not line up?
While it's hard to say without having everything installed - it looks like my high E string and potentially the B string will not line up with nut.
Anyone seen this with Pitbull? If it is in fact the case when I install neck and tuners.. Any thoughts on how to rectify?
Here's a photo.

Is this even an issue? I understand there are many headstocks out there, where the strings leave the nut on an angle.
Hey plainfaced, check out my build in the link below. Unfortunately this is a known issue, but its not the end of the world.
Most folk usually have issues with either varying space between tuners or when fitted under mock build from rear they are also at staggered heights rather than a uniform straight line.
Just ran a ruler across from nut in above shot and string slots all seem to line up ok with respective tuner holes. Probably best to loosely fit the tuners and run some cotton through the nut to act like strings and see how that looks before deciding upon plugging and re-drilling peg holes.
Update.
After shaping the headstock, I spent most of the weekend prepping the body and neck, and layed down the first few coats of oil on the neck and paint on the body.
Also, thanks to YouTube for the tip on diy decals.. I must say, I am extremely happy with the decal. I just have to make sure I cover it with enough coats of oil.

nice job Plainfaced coming alone great
Thanks all. Took my time with the last coat of paint and will continue to do so for the rest. As I rushed the first few..
Not sure if the photos tell, but the paint is really matte, so I will be looking to finish with clear coat.
Can anyone recommend a clear coat rattle can, that is readily available from Bunnings or similar?
hmm.. Might have a few issues here.. I ended up getting this. Mainly due to the range of colours I could choose from.

The only clear this brand does is this - https://www.montana-cans.com/en/spra...varnish-400ml-
Apparently is acrylic.
