Hi Zandit, same deal in NZ South Island which is further towards South Pole than your neck of the woods plus being a lot closer to the hole in the ozone layer too.

Just having a friendly jab as there are so many Tasmanian jokes.....such as.....Is it true that most locals don't know how to swim as the water is always too cold and therefore risk hyperthermia before completing one lap of the pool?

Welcome Steve, if there is anything I can tell you about the kit give me a yell. Not the easiest kit I'd done but not the hardest either. I promise no tassie jokes but can't be sure about drummer jokes. :D
