Problem solved now, primer coat applied for solid colour. Still going to look great (I hope) and will be finished in blue, just a change of plans on how to get there!

Looking good so far, what solid-colour are you thinking of going with?
I was initially intending an "ice" theme guitar since I'm doing a Flame theme bass. So aiming for something like this example SG with deep blue and silver finish.

I reshaped that lip behind the neck pocket so that it declines on a rounded gradient. I didn't add a wood filler as I'm thinking I would still like to finish the neck with clear rather than in solid colour. This could be a real pain as the neck came prefixed to the body. I've just masked off the neck while i spray the body for now, then I don't know whether to Tru-oil the neck clear or simply use the same clear spray finish I intended for the body?

That blue colour looks cool.
Nice work Cade, you're building a pretty nice SG
I like the heel reshaping.
I like that heel reshaping too! I may use that on my SG!
Thanks guys, I was a bit restricted with the heel due to the neck being in place. I only have a long wood file/rasp (I'm limited to hand tools on my builds) which meant I couldn't easily reshape without constantly nicking the neck and also the horns. I did what I could manage and am happy with the result.
