I smell a scratch tele in sometime in 2017 then. As its in Maleny I wont have a hard time convincing the wife to take a day trip then...

holy cow Tony you really have some quality timbers there, good work. I thought the templates looked like they had been cut by CNC they look perfect ! A good tip DB gave me was rub thin superglue over the cutting edges of the templates and they will last longer. Also good tip check your router depths regularly to make sure the bearing is running on the template edge. Otherwise you could destroy your blanks and the template !
Wow Tony, looks amazing. Don't you dare cover up that wood grain. I have bookmarked your supplier, I might have to take a trip up there one day. But for the time being I will have to stick to pine.
Watching this build with great interest and envy. ;)

So did some more on the scratchie.
Routed the control cavity out, and had a few "learnings" in the process. Using template tape to hold in place and didnt realise that the template was slowly sliding on the body, in part being too heavy handed and not letting the bit do the work and the tape not so good with humidity. (Mainly heavy handed)
Managed to rectify but now is a little off centre from original plan.
Filed down the body for belly cut and arm taper. before a full day of sanding.( So over sanding)
Once finished sanding applied a thin coat of TO.
Wow this is going to look great
Nice work Tony it's looking a treat
Am watching this build closely , as I plan my own scratchy. Its looking terrific
