here's going backwards how it looked against the rack
The Tele napper will need to bring a trailer :p
cool beast, DB would love to sand that one...
Looking at the body compared to the standard neck just messes with your head.
I love this project Woks. That neck looks like it's entered the land of the luthier giants!

haha cheers guys. Should get time to start shaping the neck this arvo, almost had a disaster routing the neck pocket the height of the router changed and the bearing wasn't low enough and put a couple of small nibs in the pocket edge but all good the neck has plenty of meat will clean up the pocket edges and make the neck heel 3mm wider.
Hoping to get a 6 string bass pickup may be wide enough for the string spacings and get some sound out of it, either the neck or bridge pickup will be live
@ Ponch yeah bit of a worry when you have to buy 2.4m lengths for the neck because 1.2m is too short !
Hey Woks, this is taking Baritone Scale just a bit far don't you think haha?
Just pulled some 5 string bass PUP's out of the EX-5 that measure 102mm x 40mm and wondered if they'd be big enough or do you need even bigger than that?
Holey moley Wokks. more work than a double neck!
got some more work done today, neck shaped and neck pocket cleaned up, this axe is a tank.
@ Waz cheers for the dimensions but the neck heel is 112mm wide so neck pup would probably need to be at least that sort of dimension. Still a long way to go so will see how the angle of the strings are with a bridge we plan to build
