I did that to My Hamer Flying V
Attachment 10240 OK I know YOU are supposed to take Months building these things It was my First build which was a great learning tool and I promise to go slower on my next Build also to read the KIT better as I didn't realize I was getting a Bolt on neck , however I did put in over 18 hrs of sanding 3 hrs painting and a long period Dying the wood . So I did rush this as I need it for recording anyways probably going to do another LES PAUL this will be my Rhandy Rhoads tribute so I want it to look like His Off Yellow 74 Gibson .
Nice work! Yeah I was a bit rushed on my first build due to excitement....nothing wrong with that! Plenty more builds to start!
I made the same pledge and my second build has taken me I think 5 months so far! (nearly done).
Hope you have some great satisfaction in shredding that beast!
She actually sounds good . I coppered the Pickups and and electronics and she is very quite no hum . the Tone controls are working running her through my Line HD 500 and she sounds killer and with the tone knobs at 1/2 and set with both pick ups she has that warm Gary Moore / Peter Greene tone so I will probably be doing some recording later and throw her in the Guitars in use. My Les Paul replacement is a PRS Torero but I have no guitars with Hard Tail bridges so I missed the Les Paul , Now I do have a Hard tail
well done Darwin looks pretty good for first build. Next build take your time on the finish and you will get a better result.
Quick build, looks good! Overtime I've gone from rapid builds to open ended builds..
