nice one Andy. Yes it's important to check your sanding in good light.
Headstock shape looks good, but more sanding as you say

That's going to be an awesome looking guitar, Andy! You've got some fantastic grain to show off! It'll look great in a dark red wine.
good stuff Andy, glad your nocturnal sanding escapades are done
Nice work Andy. Doesn't it feel good to get to the tail end of the sanding effort? The headstock is coming along nicely. It maybe worth picking up a set of needle files to lock-in & fine tune the shaping for the 'moustache' headstock design (I think I got my set from the big green shed)
glad you accepted the fact there's no getting out of the naughty warehouse Ponch. Don't worry I got 3 x life.
All good it's pretty good fun here, we get to drink beer all day and build guitars !
thanks andrew, thats a good tip I'll give that a go. Worth the time in the naughty warehouse.
Shaped and sanded.Attachment 7055Attachment 7056 Well that will do for now. I wanted it to look a little like a caricature of the G type headstock.
Ebony Timbermated and sanded 180, 240, 320 and 400 on Mahogany 240 and 320 only on cap so far, im a bit scared to go any further on the cap but the timbermate has brought out a few scratches. Do you think I can sand with 400 before using dingotone or should I just leave at 320?
